FRC Open Houses, August 15th & 22nd

This is for Decatur High School students only. Come see our build space and learn about FIRST Robotics Competition from existing team members, coaches, and mentors.

Georgia FIRST Robotics hosts a FIRST Robotics Challenge (FRC) invitational event for teams to compete in last year's game. The event is open to the public and usually only an hour away. It's a great opportunity for elementary and middle school students to see the big robots in action.

FTC Meets Begin

FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) meets are open to the public and occur almost every Saturday morning late October through January. Come see our local FTC teams compete. Visit GA FIRST for the full list of events. Our teams are part of the Marietta-Wheeler League.

FLL Scrimmage

Our annual FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Scrimmage is open to all teams. This is an informal tournament focused on getting you prepared for your qualifier. Teams are rarely "tournament ready" which is the whole point. You will interact with other teams, ask questions, and learn a lot. Each team will get some practice runs at the robot game table. We also have mock judging sessions where you present your robot, code, and invention to a panel of judges for feedback.

FLL Qualifying Tournaments

Georgia FIRST Robotics partners with schools and organizations to host qualifying events. Teams that do well at qualifiers will compete in Regional and State championships in January and February. All events are open to the public. Visit www.gafirst.org for details.

FRC Kickoff 2025 - Jan 6th @ GA Tech

Game Reveal starts Saturday, January xx, 2025, at 12:00 pm EST. This event is not open to the public but you can watch the game reveal live online on Twitch.

Decatur High School Ninth Grade Parent Night, Date and Time TBA

Our booster club will have a booth and information to share. We're recruiting incoming freshman.

Decatur Robotics Showcase @ Decatur High School, 1 to 3 pm

Existing teams from the elementary to high school level will be there to talk about and demonstrate their robots from this year. The students would love the opportunity to show you what they have been doing! 

Several of our teams advanced to district (state) championships, won awards, and more. We also have several new elementary school teams who have worked hard to learn all about the fun and excitement of building and coding their own robots. 

Decatur Arts Festival

This is one of our favorite events. We are so thankful to Decatur Makers and the Decatur Arts Alliance for making space for us each year in the Decatur Square.
